I like the book “Stormy, Misty’s Foal” because I feel like I can travel to Chincoteague along with the Beebe’s. I like the book because it has suspense, family, and horses, everything a good book should have! I think any person who loves a good book or horses should read this book! I’ve never been able to get so engrossed in a book as I did with “Stormy”. It’s the best book ever!

Phyllis Reynolds Naylor       The Girls Get Even            5 Star ReviewThe Girls Get Even

“The Girls Get Even” was one of the funniest books I ever read and it was the 2nd book in a series about boys battling against girls. The boys’ friends moved to Georgia and the girl’s moved to West Virginia. Anyway in this book there is a Halloween parade in which both the boys and girls entered against each other. But there is a catch, the losers had to be the winners slaves for 1month. I really recommend this book so you can know who won the Halloween contest and see what kind of trouble the boys and girls get into next!

Louis Sachar             Holes                    5 Star ReviewHoles

I thought this book was really great. It is kind of a jigsaw puzzle type of story because it changes themes as it gets further into the story. Sometimes it talks about Stanley (the main character) and sometimes it talks about how and what the setting was 110 years ago. So the story is about this not-so-lucky boy, Stanley Yelnats. He gets accused of a crime he didn’t commit; he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Weird huh? Well, what’s even weirder is that the shoes belonged to a famous baseball player or Stanley’s idol, Clyde Livingston. But now Clyde (a.k.a. Sweet Feet) thinks that Stanley is a no-good-dirty-rotten-shoe-stealing kid. Well, at least Stanley has somebody to blame, which is his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing great-great grandfather. You see, Stanley’s great-great grandfather lived in Latvia. His name was Elya Yelnats. At fifteen years he had fallen head over heels over Myra Menke. Let me give you the 411 on Myra. She was beautiful, but she wasn’t the sharpest crayon in the box. In fact, she wasn’t sharp at all. When Elya went to ask for Myra’s hand, Igor Barkov was also there. The rest is for you to read and find out.

It is a very adventurist book. My favorite part was when Chasam, Shasam and Ghasam shows up. Cinderellis makes some floating powder because he wants his 2 brothers to like him, but they won’t listen. He finds a girl who has the same problem and they get married. And the LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!!

Paul Shipton             Bug Muldoon                5 Star ReviewBug Muldoon

I think that the scariest part of Bug Muldoon was when the Bad Ants tried to kill the Ant Queen. It was a very bloody battle. I think people should read this book because it is full of suspense at every corner. You never know what is going to happen to Bug. I would like to meet 3 characters, Bug because he can get information using the simplest methods. Velma Grasshopper because she keeps the story true, and Clarissa the Ant because she has her own personality while still putting the nest before herself. She is inspiring as well as the others and that is why I love this book!

Peg Kehret           Don’t Tell Anyone               5 Star ReviewDon\'t Tell Anyone

The story that I read was called “Don’t Tell Anyone”. It is about a girl named Megan who found 6 kittens in a field close by and she tries to save them. She has to stop the tractors from cutting all the grass because she thinks that if they cut the grass it will kill the kittens. I liked it because it was a mystery.

Grace Lin        Year of the Dog                   5 Star ReviewYear of the Dog

Reviewed by Anna        Age 10

I liked this book because it is about a Chinese-American girl, and teaches you about their culture. It is the year of the dog so it is Grace’s lucky year. The saddest part is when they put on the Wizard of Oz and Grace wants to be Dorothy, but her friend says she can’t because she is Chinese. My friends should read it because it is funny when she tells other stories. Yes, I would really like to meet Grace.

The funniest part of the book was when Benji, the little brother, was collecting DNA samples from the entire family. I liked the mystery of the crime. The character I would like to meet is Pete, the Cat and hear him try to speak “human”.
